You have planned every little detail surrounding your wedding day. But, there is one more item that although simple, will keep you going strong from dawn till dinner. Stay nourished and hydrated on your wedding day by starting it off right with healthy snacks that will fuel you and your wedding party. It will be extremely busy and time will seem to fly, but it will be a long time before dinner is served. When your wedding party is having hair and makeup done in the wedding suite, there will be a lot of mingling as people wait their turn, possibly for hours. Provide plenty of healthy snacks for them to nosh on while they relax. Here are some great ideas for nibbles to snack on while you get ready, plus foods that are best to avoid.

Snacks We Love for Your Wedding Day

Eggs

Eggs are the perfect source of protein to energize with on the morning of your wedding day. Pair your eggs with toast for some added carbohydrates and fiber to keep you feeling full for hours.

Avocado Toast

You’ve seen this trendy treat all over Instagram, but it’s more than just eye candy. Avocado toast is packed with protein, healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins. This heart-healthy snack is a great balanced choice for your wedding day.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetables

Fresh fruit and vegetables are an easy and healthy choice to have on hand. Fresh, crisp, sweet, and crunchy, they are always a crowd pleasing snack.

Nuts and Energy Bars

These calorie-dense snacks have high fat content and therefore are high in energy and staying power. Just a handful of nuts or a fruit and nut bar will give you and your wedding party members fuel to get going and keep going. Throw an energy bar in your bag as you move from the wedding suite to the ceremony location. Though nerves may be suppressing your appetite, you might need a little boost to get you through the afternoon.

Snacks to Enjoy in Moderation

Coffee

To ensure there is plenty of time for you and your wedding party to prep and primp for the trip down the aisle, your wedding day will start early. Those early morning hours call for a caffeine boost to put a little pep in your step. Just keep your coffee intake to no more than 1-2 cups. Too much caffeine may make your nervous jitters even worse.

Sweets

Sugary confections like cookies, pastries, and donuts may be delicious, but they aren’t going to give you sustained energy. In reality, your sugar high could quite possibly dissolve into an energy crash that leaves you feeling tired and depleted.

Your wedding will be exciting, busy, and flat out exhausting. From getting up early to start preparing to staying up late into the night dancing, you will need to start your day off with thought out snacks that will keep you feeling satisfied and energized throughout your special day.
