Devann + Corbin Wedding | October 13th

How They Met

The Bride // Corbin and I have been together for almost 9 years. We met through mutual friends in high school. We started dating the summer before our senior year of high school after he asked me out through a text message. To be fair though I did keep turning down his suggestions for an actual date. We left Maumee together after high school to get our college degrees at Kent State and eventually set up our lives in Northeast Ohio. On March 31, 2017, Corbin had a very intimate and private proposal planned during our weekend getaway in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It was full-blown wedding planning after that.

Their Wedding

The Bride // Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. I honestly could not be happier with how my vision came to life. The theme for our wedding was a mixture of simple, classic, and rustic. We got married on a beautiful fall day at Nazareth Hall. The ceremony was outside at the Grotto, which is what I have always wanted, and our reception was in the Ladyglen Ballroom. Our flowers were provided by Hafner Florist in Toledo. Our gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces were a mixture of lilies, roses, succulents, thistle, and more. Corbin and I are not huge on desserts, however when it comes to donuts that's a different story. That being said, we had a delicious cake and tons of donuts for our guests, which were made by Wixey’s Bakery. Our photographers were everything I could have hoped for to capture our wedding day. Tim and Kylee were patient, kind, flexible, and so much fun to work with. Our hair was done by some of the most talented people I know at Brodava Salon; and makeup by the best, Jessica Hoye! Lastly, I have to say the part of my wedding day that I loved the most was my custom made wedding dress. I bought my dress at The Dress Bridal, in Medina, Ohio, who I highly recommend. After my dress came in I took to it to Sarah Stahnke, who owns ReNew Alterations. She turned my lace, long sleeve dress into my dream gown with an off the shoulder look.

Corbin and I are so thankful to all of the professionals we had the opportunity to work with and grateful for all of our family and friends who made this day possible. It was truly a day we will never forget.
