Fran + Max Wedding | September 22nd
How They Met
The Bride // Max and I met the summer going into our sophomore year of college. We tackled three years of long distance and finally got to enjoy the same zip code for another two years before we got engaged.
Max proposed to me on his birthday, in my old apartment. I was scheduled to move the next day into a house I would be renting in Old Orchard. Little did I know, Max was scheming with relator and had purchased the home. I even filled out an application and paid the $20.00 application fee.
His proposal definitely swept me off my feet.
The Bride // Max and I didn't really have a vision for our wedding, our vision was to get married as soon as we could. Wedding fluff would only slow us down, and we were on a mission.
Five months before Max proposed to me, I feel extremely ill. I was septic and I quickly entered organ failure. My organs began to shut down, and eventually my heart stopped. I had no pulse, no heartbeat, and my brain was not getting oxygen. I was revived quickly with CPR but the medical team was struggling to keep me stable. I was read my rights, and told Max would be coming in to say goodbye.
In that moment I swore to myself that if by some miracle I walked out of this hospital, I would never let anything stand in my way of marrying Max. And I did.
We pushed aside all of the pomps and frills and decided a small, intimate gathering with our immediate family was our ideal wedding. The only thing that mattered to us was that we were getting married, after it was so closely ripped from under us. We were able to focus on one another and be in the moment with no distractions and nothing standing in our way.
Our photographers were Tim & Kylee. Words cannot express how wonderful this power couple is. Tim & Kylee captured our wedding exactly how we had imagined. Just because we had a small and simple wedding, didn’t mean we didn’t want to capture every moment. Tim & Kylee never skipped a beat and we’re always on the same page as us. Tim & Kylee are extremely talented, and their work speaks for itself!
Our florist was Max’s Aunt, Betsy Gorski. Betsy owns a floral shop in Bowling Green, Ohio, called BG Blooms. Betsy has an eye for color, symmetry, & perfection. All of the arrangements Betsy made were elegant and beautiful. Betsy created my “over the arm” bouquet, it was untraditional and unique and I absolutely loved that.
Our videographer was Ellen Dziubek Photography. Ellen is just starting her career and she has hit the ground running. She is truly an amazing young woman with an immense amount of talent and passion for what she does.
