Jess + Jordan Wedding | June 16th
How They Met
The Bride // Jordan and I have known each other since 5th grade. We were good friends all throughout our school years, but finally our senior year we started dating and have stuck together ever since! After 7 years together, we graduated, found jobs, and excited to take on marriage! He is a Cleveland Browns fan and I am a Dallas Cowboys fan. When the two teams played each other in Cleveland, both of our families and some family friends bought a block of tickets to watch the game. Before the game, Jordan and I were "randomly selected" to win field passes for the pregame. When we were down on the field and I was gawking at the Dallas Cowboys, our families called us over to where they were sitting in the stands to get a picture of us. Then he said some words that I cannot remember and got down on one knee. I obviously said yes and then proceeded to ugly cry for 10 minutes.
The Bride // Jordan and I are big family people. We have large families and love them more than anything in the world. After being together for so long, our families and friends had already become so connected that we knew that we wanted our day to be centered around the people that love and support us. On our day, we went for a vibe that was simple, elegant, and welcoming. We started off our day at Jordan's childhood church and followed up with a reception at the most beautiful venue that I have ever seen, Malawi at the Toledo Zoo. (Jordan is an animal-lover.) We were so lucky that we happened to pick the most amazing vendors.
Tim & Kylee Photography, they are the sweetest couple ever and I felt completely comfortable with them by our side on our wedding day. I usually really dislike pictures of myself, but the pictures by Tim & Kylee are pictures that I will forever treasure! I've been married five months and still look at them all the time. We got so many compliments on them and I told everyone that it was all because of our amazing photographers.
Decorative Sound, after seeing Michael at Jordan's sister's wedding in 2015, we knew we had to have him! He played everything that we wanted and I didn't leave the dance floor the entire night.
Wixie Bakery, our cake was delicious. They were so great about letting us taste samples before choosing flavors...twice! The cake was exactly as I pictured. Too bad we didn't get to eat more of it!
Childers Transportation, we had way too much fun on our party bus! We appreciated how they took us wherever we needed to go, even with last minute beer stops!
The Garden Gate, my aunt owns The Garden Gate and she makes the most incredible arrangements. The beautiful flowers speak for themselves!
The Toledo Zoo, I would not have survived wedding planning without their amazing wedding coordinators and catering. I would never ever consider doing my reception anywhere else. My mom and I worked really hard on our decorations. They day before the wedding we dropped everything off and they made our vision come to life. When I walked in and saw Malawi on my wedding day, it brought me to tears! We are so thankful for all that they did.
J Foster The Shops at Fallen Timbers, I love my ring so much! We absolutely loved getting to work with Stanley and he became more like our friend than our jeweler! We still stop in to see him when we go to the mall and he always makes sure my rings are cleaned while we are there!
