Real Wedding

Paige + Matthew Wedding | October 27th

How They Met

The Bride //Matthew and I met at The Home Depot Distribution Center in Van Buren, Ohio. We started off as friends, although he tried to flirt several times, but I would usually brush it off. That was up until we went to Cedar Point for our work picnic and we decided to go together with friends. I got to meet the real Matt, the Matt I fell in love with. That's when I started to flirt, and he was not catching on. We hung out later that night and we finally had our first kiss. We have been inseparable ever since. We started dating and then only three short months later moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Six months later we bought a house together. Then on July 1st, 2017 we were in Chattanooga, Tennessee for our birthday weekend (Matt's is June 30th and mine is July 2nd) and Matt got down on one knee on the Walnut Pedestrian Bridge and asked me to marry him!

Their Wedding

The Bride // Our vision was a vintage bohemian theme. The bridesmaids were in different style dresses and colors.  The groomsmen were in a dark-colored khaki with navy tweed vests and a patterned tie. My dress was strapless and very bohemian along with burgundy suede heels. My hair was half up half down in a fishtail braid with a floral crown. I also wore a burgundy velvet jacket embellished with "Mrs. Powers" on the back. Matt wore khakis pants, a tweed vest, and a burgundy velvet jacket. Our tables were draped with gray tablecloths together with dusty sage napkins. One of our favorite details were the vintage mismatched china plates and colored goblets. Our centerpiece vases were different colors and styles and were filled with wildflowers to match my bouquets, seeded eucalyptus and blue thistle. We sat in a vintage green king and queen chairs at our head table. Matt and I built a custom teepee from birch logs for the ceremony to stand in front of with hanging lace, it featuring a bohemian rug in front for us to stand on.
